Quality Assurance
The Home-Start UK Quality Assurance System
What is the Home-Start UK Quality Assurance Scheme?
The Home-Start UK Quality Assurance Scheme is based on a programme of assessments against set quality standards. It focuses on the ongoing development and improvement in service delivery in local Home-Starts throughout the UK.
Review visits are carried out by a Home-Start UK’s QA Specialist, an accredited International Standards Organisation (ISO) auditor.
How Home-Start Edinburgh work to achieve these standards
Much of the Home-Start UK’s QA system is based on self-assessments so we are continuously assessing ourselves against set quality standards.
The process focuses on the ongoing development and continuous improvement of all practice relating to the governance, management and service delivery.
Having experienced management and a board of trustees with a variety of skills sets, knowledge and understanding help us to meet the standards you should expect.
The standards fall into the following 4 Quality Areas:
1. Planning for Success
2. Leading a Great Team
3. Making the Most of Data
4. Safeguarding Children/Child Protection
